Seduction in the Serengeti. The Mbalageti Serengeti Lodge, located in the Western Corridor of the National Park, is a lodge that is exactly that. Perched on a hill above the Mbalageti river, and offering breathtaking panoramic views of the Serengeti Plains, the sounds, sights and smells are intoxicatingly tranquil and free from the drone of civilization. The only crowds to be encountered are baboon families making their way across the grounds. Masai Warriors are actually on duty to walk guests to and from dinner after 6:30pm and before 6:30am. True indication of being in the wild!
Some highlights of this stunning and emotional property:
-It was so beautiful here that I was inspired to wake up to see the sunrise every morning
-I loved the tented rooms with, dark wood floors and four-poster beds draped in white mosquito-netting
-The bathroom was amazing and spacious with a separate soaking tub and rain shower
–Mbalageti felt perfectly authentic yet luxurious for where we were– truly “Out of Africa”
-The food was delicious and the staff friendly
A perfect place to soak up the beauty of the Serengeti.
